About

Hi! I’m Janet Croog, a paper artist and illustrator passionate about crafting intricate paper sculptures that bring stories to life. At Paper Planet Studios, I design and create custom low-relief sculptures from layered white paper, transforming simple materials into meaningful works of art.

My journey is rooted in drawing and visual storytelling, from earning a BFA in Illustration to pursuing an MFA at FIT in New York and freelancing for events. I’ve collaborated with clients such as the Shubert Theatre, Oakdale Theatre, and Omaha Zoo. In 2024, my work was featured in Times Square through ArtPop Street Gallery.

I’ve exhibited widely across major cities including New York, Houston, San Diego, New Haven, Providence, and Charlotte. In recent years, I’ve expanded my work to include upcycled cardboard and mixed-media techniques. I continue to explore new materials, challenge my process, and grow as both an artist and art director.
